My commercial work is informed by the work of the traditional English slipware potters of the 17th and 18th century and, latterly, contemporary potters who have developed the craft traditions of the rural potter.
I produce tableware to order, work to client based spatial design projects and private commissions.
I run small personalised pottery classes and short specialist art and crafts courses which are designed around the academic calendar. I deliver, to your premises, bespoke, mobile, decorative painted pottery workshops for special occasions.
My work is in collections in Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Hong Kong and America.
I have had an extensive teaching career which has included working in secondary, further and higher education. For many years I was an active council member of London Potters, and workshop teacher for Art in Action.
